    Getting Here

The Gold Coast Airport is the most convenient way to access the natural beauty of the Tweed region in Northern New South Wales with direct flight services from across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia and Fiji.

It is the sixth busiest airport in Australia, welcoming over 4.2 million passengers in 2007/08. Terminal facilities include bars and cafes, alfresco style, duty-free shopping, gifts and other retail as well as a bustling transport centre. The runway extension was completed in March 2007 which paved the way for direct international services into the Tweed region and increased freight exports.

    Domestic flights

Gold Coast Airport is serviced frequently by Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Tiger Airways. Direct flights are available from Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle and Cairns with connecting flights from all other Australian cities.

    International flights

Air New Zealand, Pacific Blue and Jetstar currently operate services between New Zealand and Gold Coast Airport. Air New Zealand provides flights from Hamilton, Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland, Pacific Blue offers services from Auckland, while Jetstar services Christchurch and Auckland. AirAsia X has direct flights into the Gold Coast Airport from Malaysia with connecting flights across South East Asia. Jetstar International offers direct flights from Osaka and Tokyo Japan, while Air Pacific has direct flights from Fiji with connections from North America. The Tweed region in Northern NSW is now directly accessible from international and domestic cities.

Alternatively, for those visitors arriving from the US and Canada, Brisbane International Airport would be the most convenient and is just 90 minutes by road to Kingscliff and the Tweed region. Transfers to and from the airport will be arranged for all visitors flying in and out of Brisbane and Gold Coast airports.
