It is a tradition of this meeting series that participants arrange and pay for their own travel to the meeting.  For overseas and invited participants, meeting costs including accommodation and meals are covered by the meeting.  The cost to overseas invited participants will be restricted to travel-related costs, incidental costs (including telephone calls and room service), extra days (additional nights accommodation must be booked through the Conference Secretariat to obtain the conference rate) and tours/recreational activities which will be billed to your room account by the Resort.

A nominal registration fee to cover transfers, tours and partial meeting costs will apply to all other participants (TBA).

While there will be no additional accommodation costs for partners/accompanying persons, there will be an additional charge for transfers, meals, tours and social activities (AUS$300).

A half day Natural Heritage Ecotour (Thursday 2 November) including Central Station/Forest Walk and Lake McKenzie will be available at the conference rate of $64 per adult and $36 per child.

  • All travel costs are the responsibility of the participant.
  • Pre/post conference accommodation can be booked at the conference rates by those wishing to spend additional time on Fraser Island either before or after the meeting.  Importantly, to obtain the conference rate for accommodation, bookings must be made through the Conference Secretariat.  The actual charge however will be billed to your account by the Resort.
  • Payment for travel on the designated Virgin Blue flights (Sydney-Hervey Bay return) and/or additional expenses as applicable (partners, transfers, tours; see above) will be by credit card or cheque (made payable to PacRim Meeting IMVS).
  • Participants will be sent an invoice in August/September (if applicable), which must be completed and returned with payment to the Conference Secretariat (by fax to +61 8 8222 3217) by 1 October at the latest.  Acceptable credit cards are Visa, Bankcard, MasterCard, American Express or Diner
